Bookings for Tesla Roadsters are now available again, with Elon Musk, the company’s CEO and creator,
confirming that manufacturing will resume in 2023.
Elon Musk and Tesla Roadster Production.
Because the all-electric sports vehicle, the next-generation Tesla Roadster, has officially reopened reservations on its official website, the tech giant looks to be getting closer to putting it into production.
Aside from that, it’s worth mentioning that Tesla CEO Elon Musk just announced that the long-awaited Roadster electric vehicle will begin manufacturing early next year.
This was revealed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk at the Cyber Rodeo event, which marked the formal launch of the company’s brand-new Giga Texas plant.
Reservations for the Tesla Roadster are once again available.
However, there is a quite shocking catch. Tesla demands individuals interested in purchasing the next Tesla Roadster to spend a whopping $50,000 to do so, according to the massive carmaker. That mind-boggling sum is just to hold onto the electric sports car’s reservation.
According to a news item published by Teslarati, Tesla divides the substantial price into two parts.
When attempting to reserve a Roadster, the initial credit card payment is payable on the spot using the credit card. The remaining $45,000, on the other hand, shall be provided through wire transfer, and it must be received within 10 days of placing an order for the next-generation Tesla EV.
Teslarati pointed out in the same story that the first $5,000 is completely refundable if you cancel your subscription.
Tesla, on the other hand, did not specify whether or whether the additional $45,000 wire payment is totally refundable as well. However, unlike the first credit card payment, we are not certain whether the latter may be repaid if the plans alter.
Besides that, the Tesla website noted that the reservation would only be finalised once the required wire payment of $45,000 has been received and processed.
The fact that Tesla asks buyers to pay a $50,000 reservation fee in order to pre-purchase the next generation Roadster is evident.
Tesla Roadster
The reservation and pricing pages for two of Tesla’s forthcoming electric vehicles, the odd-shaped Cybertruck and the Roadster, were previously removed off the company’s website in the later half of 2021, according to a report by ReviewGeek.
Interestingly, Musk, the tech genius, has stated that he wants the second-generation Tesla Roadster to be unique, boasting that it would be the quickest automobile the world has ever seen.
The reportedly fastest automobile in the planet first appeared on the scene in 2017 as a concept car. Despite the fact that the next-generation electric vehicle is expected to enter the road by 2020, Tesla is yet to unveil the Roaster in 2022.
However, the most recent announcement by Elon Musk himself, as well as the reopening of the Roadster reservation website, indicate that the vehicle is on the verge of being released.
